Dev Log 9 (Nov 13 - Nov 19):

Overall progress:

  • Fleshed out the narrative.
    • Conceived level names and lore messages.
    • Storyboarded introduction and conclusion scenes.

Art team:

  • Made a feasible timeline to complete all art deliverables for the final build.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with the textures on certain assets.
  • Clarified animation issues with the team.

Music team:

  • Discussed audio-related feedback from the beta presentation.
  • Made a plan to tackle final deliverables, including updated SFX, finished level music, and a mix of the background level music to be used for the trailer.

Programming team:

  • Fixed existing bugs.
  • Reverted the movement speed of the characters.
  • Made the controls UI permanently onscreen.
  • Created indicator for one-sided collision

Future plans:

  • Finish stems/instructions for background music.
  • Create trailer music.
  • Update "generic" sound effects to sound more appropriate for the game.
  • Polish the visuals for the game as much as possible.
  • Put the trailer together.
  • Implement all polished textures to Unity.
  • Set up cinematic cameras to record gameplay for the trailer.
  • Fix more bugs.
  • Optimise the hint system with precomputation.
  • Create the introduction and conclusion scenes.
  • Tweak the existing level designs.
